Introduction to Common Operational Issues with Lift Hydraulic Platforms
Lift and lower Hydraulic platform We can customize unique models of lift platforms according to customer requirements. These platforms are suitable for high-altitude operations and maintenance in a wide range of industries and settings, including factories, automated warehouses, underground parking lots, municipal engineering projects, ports, construction sites, interior decoration, freight logistics, power engineering, transportation, oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, hotels and restaurants, sports venues, industrial and mining enterprises, and corporate facilities. The lifting system of these lift platforms relies on hydraulic control, which is why they are referred to as hydraulic lift platforms.
Common operational issues faced by operators of lifting hydraulic platforms:
Drivers are prohibited from leaving their posts or performing any wiping, lubrication, or maintenance work on the platform while working in the industry. After completing their tasks, drivers should turn off the power, lock the control panel, and then leave their posts, ensuring that the shift handover records have been properly submitted.
Before starting each day’s work, the operator should carefully inspect the household appliance system, hydraulic system, and mechanical system on the platform for any issues. Additionally, the operator should perform multiple full-load tests on both sides of the service platform to check for any problems or abnormalities. It is also important to pay close attention to whether there are any noticeable discrepancies in the accuracy of the platform’s cabinet countertops’ stopping positions.
The driver shall ensure that the objects transported on the platform are distributed as evenly as possible across the tabletop to avoid uneven weight distribution and prevent overloading. The service platform is not permitted to carry passengers or transport hazardous materials such as flammable and explosive substances, and personnel must not climb onto the platform while it is rising nor cause any deliberate shaking.
Before starting work, the operator must securely close and lock the movable gates at both ends of the guardrail, then sound the horn to start the machine. Working is strictly prohibited with the guardrail’s movable gates open. In the event of special circumstances during operation, the emergency stop switch may be used to bring the platform to a halt; however, under normal operating conditions, the emergency stop switch must not be used to stop the machine.
If the service platform malfunctions or deviates from normal operations, maintenance personnel should be immediately notified for repairs. If any hazardous factors are detected or if there is a risk of an accident involving personal safety equipment, the equipment should be immediately discontinued, the main power switch in the server room should be turned off, and the relevant authorities should be informed. The equipment can only be used again after it has been repaired and thoroughly inspected.
The main cause of noise generated by friction in lifting hydraulic platform machinery and equipment.
Lift and lower Hydraulic platform The noise generated by mechanical equipment friction is usually caused by faults in motor equipment, primarily including stator-rotor rubbing, oil leakage from rolling bearings, and overheating of rolling bearings.
In addition to checking for motor equipment malfunctions, it is even more important to verify whether the slide rail and drive wheel are rotating smoothly and whether their coaxiality meets the required standards. Various factors—such as unevenness in the assembly base, bending of the shaft extension, and imbalance in the transmission system—can all cause abnormal noises and significantly increase vibration. Operators should listen carefully to any unusual sounds to identify common motor faults and address them promptly.
Stator-Rotor Rubbing: Due to the narrow air gap between the stator and rotor, uneven magnetic flux density or residual iron filings, burrs, and paint layers inside the motor can often lead to increased noise and vibration. In severe cases, this can cause overheating of the core and insulation damage to the windings, necessitating timely inspection and repair.
Oil leakage from rolling bearings and overheating of rolling bearings are typically caused by a variety of factors, such as excessive or insufficient lubricant, failure to properly clean out old lubricant, or poor quality of the rolling bearings themselves. During operation, you may hear a clicking sound. It is essential to promptly disassemble the rolling bearing, inspect the surface of the dovetail guide rail, verify that all relevant specifications meet the requirements, and then take appropriate corrective measures.
